I suppose in a way I did vanish off the face of the earth for a little while. For the past few months I’ve been working getting ready for Burning Man, and everything else (least of all this blog) took low priority.
My pictures, as well as others from our group, are at Fuegodiego Gallery – I’m trying a new picture program called Gallery and it seems to work fairly well.
Burning Man was really amazing this year, as always. One of the aspects of it that I forget is how the environment makes you refocus on your personal needs that you usually take for granted – water, food, bathroom, sleep – while immersing you in new and differnent ideas and emotions – it can be overwhelming for anyone, sober! The only drug I had any of was “Two Buck Chuck” (and a few of his more costly relatives), but I still got emotionally wrung out – driving 12 hours back in the Pinz sorted me out pretty well.
